Silent Pirate, Chapter 11, Page 2

Happy Not-Quite-Valentine’s Day! For the occasion (Valentine’s Day, not Not-Quite-Valentine’s Day), I took part in the Webcast Beacon’s Webcomics Blind Date, where a writer and an artist are matched up and have to work together to make a comic.

I ended up matched as both a writer and an artist (There were an uneven number of people), which I guess means I was two-timing the Dates?

Here’s the comic I wrote, and Zoe Coughlin of The Last Cowboy drew up:

Here’s the comic Rob Kelly of Ace Kilroy penned, with art by you-know-who (except for the title panel), featuring a somewhat familiar character:

Another top favorite page. I love these kind of jokes.

So in the second comic, are the boy and girl characters supposed to be you and Kilroy?

The two characters are Ace Kilroy (who’s a dude) and Ellie, both from Rob’s webcomic.

Alright, I was just wondering if the Valentine-Blind-Date required the artist and writer to put themselves in their comic. Sounds like fun though!
